Counseling

There are many reasons individuals seek counseling.  Counseling may be something you could benefit from right now if:

  • You feel angry and a host of other emotions and these are interfering with your life.

My Beliefs

I believe that all individuals at the core are spiritual beings.  And therapy is one of many ways in which to nourish the mind and as a result one’s spirit.

 

I believe that therapy is one of the many tools that help facilitate change.  I also believe that most humans are capable of change.  What determines whether change takes place during a therapy experience, among other things, is a person’s readiness for change.

 

I believe that every human being can benefit from someone listening to them and providing them with a relationship consisting of both empathy and genuineness.  Therapy should be an experience that fosters just that – an environment that is understanding, genuine, and feels safe for you to honestly discuss concerns, evaluate yourself, and make enough change that gives you peace.

 

I believe people come to therapy with a variety of different concerns and needs and being able to meet you where you are based on your concerns is important.

 

I believe the compatibility of the therapist and individual plays a large role in progress.  It is important that you feel comfortable with the person that you’re sharing your innermost concerns with.
